Beach Towel Buying Tips and Advice
What should you know about buying a beach towel? How about:
1. Beach towels are a personal preference. You might like the big, bulky, fluffy soft towels or a smaller, thinner towel. The choice is yours but for the beach we would recommend the smaller, thinner towel every time. Larger, fluffy towels are also bulkier and heavier to carry and if you have a long way to walk from car to beach this will become a burden. Remember also that your heavy bulky towel will become and even heavier, even bulkier towel when it gets wet. Fluffy towels also gather more sand which will get dragged back home with you. Of course they're also much nicer to lay out on and use at the beach but that's the trade off you need to consider.
2. Fabric softener makes your beach towels nice and soft but also lessens their ability to dry. Perfumed fabric softeners may also attract bugs who home in on the flowery fragrance. Avoid washing this way.
3. Beach towels come in a wide variety of colours and sizes allowing you to choose the style you like for yourself. Consider allowing your children to pick the towel they want to express themselves with as well and they are more likely to use it and look after it as well.
